Do you have a blog crush?

I do.

Her name is Joni Webb and she writes the most beautiful blog called Cote de Texas.

I honestly can't remember when I discovered her. I know it was shortly after we moved into Eleven Gables. Her writing and attention to detail lures you in. She teaches the do's and don'ts of home interiors. The homes she features are stunning. I recall her having an Aiden Grey contest once. I didn't dream of entering, but I drooled over the entries, and I have spent countless hours pouring over every single post Joni has ever written.

Every single time I redo a room, I ask myself, "What would Joni do?" Go see my pin boards and you will see evidence of that.

There are many design elements around our home that I have gleaned from Cote de Texas. Zebra skin, seagrass, slipcovers, wicker, curtains..... to name a few.

Joni reached out to me via Instagram a couple months ago asking if she could feature my home. I nearly fainted. What an honor.

She did such a beautiful, comprehensive tour of our home. I would love for you to pop over and see it. Leave her a lovely comment as well!

Thank you, Joni, from the bottom of my heart!

The ever fabulous Kim is featuring my Favorite Room on her blog, Savvy Southern Style, today! I am absolutely over-the-moon to be asked to guest post on such a GORGEOUS blog! Which room do you think I picked?

Have you been to Kim's blog? I love that Mr. Savvy calls their home "the estate." He is absolutely right! The landscape is lush and the rooms are divinely appointed. Kim is an all around "jack-of-all-trades." She can paint, decorate, thrift, and DIY with the best of them! My favorite room of Kim's is her Family Room.

She mixes Staffordshire, Ironstone, Antler Mounts, French and English Antiques, much like myself, yet the room remains cozy and inviting... somewhere you would want to curl up with your laptop and read blogs.

I mean look at the chandelier, the European stag mount, the dog painting!!!

If I stop by Savvy Southern Style's estate, these dog trophies will be my party favor!

The scales, the lamp, the board, the staffordshire, the antique grain sacks!

See what I mean? Go read about my favorite room, and while you are there, peruse this beautiful blog. Make sure and leave Kim a comment, telling her how you found her and how much you love her blog!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Don't forget to visit my Fall Tour here!!

Hello friends! I just wanted to share a quick update on what I am doing.

I've been incorporating my "brand" over here on the website... I made this logo for my business back in July and want my blog to be a reflection on my business...

my logo: The blue represents my love for all things blue and white.

The house is my house of 11 gables. This is the name I gave my house when we bought it. I plan on finishing up the blog's overall look (tabs & icons) once school starts.

I am a "retired" registered nurse with a passion for decorating. You can see my projects on Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook. Be sure and follow me there to keep up with all of my goings on. I am currently working on a new build for a client with a taste for clean lines and symmetry. Love her!

Next week, 11 Magnolia Lane is featuring an organizational project of mine.

Here is a sneak peek:

For those of you who have been waiting to see what is behind the cabinets here in my kitchen, the wait is almost over.

If you haven't checked out the kitchen, go see it now!!!! http://11gables.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-story-of-kitchen-remodel-it-is.html

(highest Pinned image to date!)

I have also been recently featured on Miss Mustard Seed here and here, Dimples and Tangles, Savvy Southern Style, French Country Cottage, and The Creative Exchange. A sincere Thank You to these sweet ladies who pour over many, many posts each week. I am honored you chose me! xo

I am going to take a week off and be Intentional with my family. Follow us on Pinterest, Instagram, or Facebook to see what we are up to.

Thank you for your support of my new blogging adventure! I am enjoying sharing my love of home with you.

xo,

Emily
