What was once a tiny laundry closet, with the only door leading out to the pool, is now one of my favorite spaces in my home.

The faucet was saved from my old kitchen while the apron front sink is new. This one is now discontinued, but I found the same brand, similar style kitchen faucet here or bathroom faucet here.
Corbels help add an extra architectural element
I really love to hang dry my clothes but I don't enjoy the space that my old drying rack took. I used the parts from this drying rack and made what you see here!

Now, to get the boys to actually put their dirty clothes IN the baskets!!
The huge turtle shell was found by my oldest son. I cleaned it up then shellacked it.
The ribbons are held in the drawer using curtain tension rods.

After spending HOURS trying to construct a wooden can holder thingy off Pinterest that ultimately didn't work very well (cans wouldn't roll to the front),
I tried THESE STACKABLE BASKETS
and they were the PERFECT solution!
I love a happy accident.
I have since found THESE and although they are taller, they will work beautifully in a pantry.
Who doesn't love a pocket door?! This pocket door was the original door that lead out of the laundry room to the pool. It was important to get light into the hallway, so we refinished, converted, and installed it in this location. I think it adds so much charm.
