I think this is what I'm seeing? Also, what about cooktop- why did you go with the KA style with knobs on the front - just asthetics? and do you have a microwave hidden behind something I don't see? What about a good source for cabinet hardware as well? Thanks in advance.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07268604841653940747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1844610358986715331.post-27580786778248448452016-10-25T15:55:01.382-05:002016-10-25T15:55:01.382-05:00Hi Emily, can you tell me where you got the bricks...Hi Emily, can you tell me where you got the bricks for your floor, what kind/color they are, and what color/kind of grout you used? I am in the stressful stage of making some decisions so we can order our cabinets. We have 9 foot ceilings and my kitchen designer is recommending stacked cabinets with about a 6 inch molding so they can go all the way to to the ceiling. (Right now I have space up top). Yours look beautiful going all the way to the ceiling but was wondering how high your ceilings are and what size cabinets you used. Thanks! And Happy New Year to you! We had the subfloor poured specifically for the brick. Sorry I am not much help there. The paint is a custom color I had made. Not much help again.. sigh.... I started with a base called Chanel White and kept adding white until it was a color that suited me. The paint on the cabinets is Pre-Catalyzed Lacquer. I am not in love with the cabinet paint. It has cracked and chipped in places. My best suggestion is to find a quality painter and go with what he recommends and guarantees. Absolutely gorgeous! I love your newly remodeled kitchen, family room and pantry! Beautiful job and beautiful selections. I also love the brick floor. Are those brick pavers? I think I'd like this look for my kitchen floor and then paint my medium stained cabinets white or something therein. So, my questions are: 1. Your flooring - brick pavers? 2. What type of paint and color did you use for your cabinets? I am enjoying your blog very much! I really loved the look of carrera marble, but didn't love the grey cast that it left. This London Grey looked good even with my previously dark cabinets. When we chose this, NO ONE had installed it in the greater Oklahoma area. We drove to Dallas to the Caesarstone distribution center and checked out a slab. Now that it's been around for a year, I suggest you call the fabricator and ask for references of homes that have it installed. I have had two ladies come to look at my kitchen from the fabricator's referral. Best Wishes to You! I hope your project goes perfectly! xo, Emily ElevenGableshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16689814433811725500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1844610358986715331.post-56618841956661491372014-07-06T21:54:12.989-05:002014-07-06T21:54:12.989-05:00What a beautiful kitchen, Emily. We are seriously considering London Grey for our kitchen, paired with either our current medium-dark stained cabinets, or a creamy white cabinet if we decide to paint them. The sample looks as those there is also a brownish taupe vein as well which I like. Does that look that way in the whole slab is it all pretty much grey? I'm really looking for a warm taupey grey, not cool grey marble-like counter. Opinion, please? Thanks so much!
